OBS scoreboard overlay

Put a live scoreboard on your rec stream in about a minute. Paste one URL into OBS as a Browser Source, then control the score from any phone. The overlay is transparent, so it sits on the video instead of a black box.

Four steps

    Open a board

    Start a free board in the browser. Pick the sport if you want the right clock and scoring, or use Universal for two scores and a timer. No account.

    Copy the overlay link

    On the control page, copy the row labeled OBS overlay. That URL is a transparent strip. Paid plans also get an OBS scorebug link for a tighter bug over the video.

    Add a Browser Source in OBS

    Sources → + → Browser. Paste the overlay URL. Width 1920 and height 240 works for a 1080p strip; shrink it if you only need a corner bug. Leave the default CSS. The page already uses a transparent background.

    Keep score from the phone

    Leave OBS on the streaming PC. Hand the control link to whoever is keeping score. Taps on the phone update the overlay live. The same board also has a full-screen display link for a gym TV if you need both.

Questions

How do I add a scoreboard overlay to OBS?
Create a board, copy OBS overlay from the control page, and paste it into an OBS Browser Source. Scores update on the stream when someone taps the control link. You do not refresh OBS mid-game.
Is the OBS scoreboard overlay free?
Yes. The free board includes the strip overlay. It shows a small Scorewick mark. Plus, Pro, and Game Day remove the mark and add the tighter scorebug overlay.
Do I need a plugin or a download?
No. The overlay is a web URL. It works in OBS Studio, Streamlabs Desktop, vMix, and other tools that support a browser source. Nothing to install on the streaming PC.
Can someone else keep score while I stream?
Yes. That is the usual setup. OBS stays on the computer running the stream. The scorer uses the private control link on a phone or another laptop.
